Although Carol has a busy litigation practice, she believes fervently in collaboration to resolve disputes in this area. The goal of a collaborative practice is to assist disputing parties to work towards a mutually fair and equitable resolution, to end their outstanding issues without the acrimony, anxiety and costs that often accompany litigation and to protect the integrity and health in family relationships. The collaborate component is not about winners and losers. It is intended to assist the parties to communicate with respect, ultimately helping them negotiate terms that leave everyone as whole as possible. This is especially important when children are involved.
