Chantel graduated from Western University with an Honours Bachelor of Music (Education) in 1997. She obtained her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor in 2001 and was called to the Bar in 2002. Chantel has been practicing law in the Lindsay area since 2002. Her practice has focused almost exclusively on Family Law. Chantel is a panel lawyer for the Office of the Children's Lawyers and the Family Responsibility Office. Chantel is a member of Law Society of Upper Canada, Victoria Haliburton Law Association, Canadian and Ontario Bar Association, Board member of the Ethics Committee of the Ross Memorial Hospital and Board member of the Children's Services Counsel, Panel lawyer for Legal Aid Ontario for Family Law and Domestic Violence. Chantel believes that resolving matters through the collaborative process allows parents to focus on protecting the children from the conflict. It allows families to work together to problem solve a solution that works for them. At the end of the collaborative process families can move on with their lives separately and yet amicably. They can continue to parent their children as a team and have the closure that is so often missed in the court process.
